Join the Intrepid Museum in partnership with The New York Historical for a 90-minute virtual professional development session focused on how culturally responsive curriculum supports student growth by reflecting student identity and highlighting diverse perspectives. Participants will examine primary sources and compare how various identities and experiences impacted personal perspectives on the Vietnam War. The session will also include discussions on techniques for incorporating ethics into classroom learning, as well as strategies to moderate complex conversations that can lead to respectful discourse. Additionally, attendees will collaborate in a hands-on workshop that can be utilized in the classroom.
This course provides 1.5 CTLE credits. Registered participants will receive a program link and other information prior to the programming date. Virtual check-in will begin at 5:45pm EST.
